The Global Ambassadors Program is an international speakers bureau through which Colorado State University international students and scholars share their culture, heritage, language, geography and history of their countries with local school classrooms and with other community groups. At the same time, the international students and scholars have the opportunity to learn more about American culture and to practice their English and presentation skills.

The Global Ambassadors Program offers an opportunity to:

• Invite a CSU international student/scholar to your classroom
• Introduce your students to other cultures
• Widen your students’ understanding of the world

Availability

Global Ambassadors Program Presenters, in most cases, will not be available between semesters and during the following periods.

Fall 2010 classes held August 23 - December 10, 2010
Fall Break: November 20-28
Finals: December 13-17

Spring classes held January 18 - May 6, 2011
Spring Break: March 12-20
Finals: May 9-13

Summer Break: May 16 - August 22

Volunteer as a Speaker

Are you interested in becoming an Ambassador for your country by promoting appreciation and understanding of your culture?  As a Global Ambassador you can share your culture with classrooms and community groups. You will enhance your resume, practice your presentation skills, meet new people and make new friends.All that is required is to give a short talk about yourself, facts about your country, field of study and your future plans, then let the audience ask questions.
